PARHCA Methodology
Trust, participation, reflection and analysis
The Local Council of Immigrants project uses the PARHCA methodology, which is the acronym for the English expression: Participatory Action Human Rights and Capability Approach.
PAHRCA is a flexible methodology that includes five steps. A first step in contacting, consolidating partnerships and recruiting participants. A moment of presentation and building a trusting relationship for the formation of a research group. A third step in empowering participants and involving social partners. A fourth step: investigation, reflection and analysis. And a last step, production/presentation of results and recommendations that will allow for long-lasting and broad effects by influencing the social responses and public policies of a territory, with potential for replication in other territories, with other audiences and, ultimately, with other schedules.
